Product Manager, M3


This position will serve as a key contributor to China Marketing across all key regional marketing activities with a focus on COB Product Marketing.

In addition, the candidate may lead or support regional roadmap planning and product launch, working with sales on market and key customer strategy, supporting daily sales and channel requests, managing promotional activities such as tradeshows and PR, and supporting executive team in strategic partnerships.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, positive and self-motivated team player with great communication and interpersonal skills. The individual should have a good balance of structured thinking and complex planning skills mixed with execution adeptness and flexibility. The candidate should have strong knowledge of LED components and lighting applications.



  • Key responsibility will focus on product management for Asia (mainly China) market, including new products/ product lifecycle and price management:
    • Create new product ideas and work with functional team to finish product development;
    • Prepare the product launch tools including product promotion plan/ product sales tools and pricing strategy;
    • Ensuring ecosystem readiness with Application Engineering team and working with sales on customer training, sampling and early customer engagements.
  • Regional roadmap proposal, product planning and justification taking into account the following:
    • current and predicted market, technology and competitive trends or thesis
    • internal R&D results and Product Development resources or constraints
    • market or revenue potential justification
  • Products lifecycle management for exiting products, make sure the customer can smooth transfer to new product and finish the EOL actions
  • Working closely with sales on strategic accounts to grow business
  • Collect market information and benchmark the product to make sure the team understands the market situation and market trends
  • Support sales and distribution through regular product trainings
  • Support executive team on key strategic partnerships in the China region



  • 2-4 years in LED or lighting Product Marketing experience
  • Extensive knowledge of SMD LED and COB products from both China domestic brands and the “big 5” international LED players
  • Sufficient knowledge of lighting applications and systems
  • Highly prefer experience launching a product from product idea to final launch
  • Prefer strong technical background and/or experience in LED or lighting field
  • Ability to work cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, FAE, AE, Product Development and other functions
  • Ability to manage cross cultural communication. Must be fluent in spoken English, and written and spoken Chinese
  • SalesForce or other CRM and business analytics software experience a plus
  • Bachelor degree a minimum. Graduates from top universities with a lighting specific OR technical/engineering OR business degree preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive and self-motivated team player
  • Strong program manager with attention to detail and ability to multi-task
