Senior Product Marketing Manager

Job Summary:

Bridgelux is seeking a passionate, experienced strategic LED Product Manager to join our global product marketing team. As a critical member of the Bridgelux product marketing team you will help the world experience the power and possibility of light – by developing application specific lighting solutions that are designed for the future. You will translate ideas into strategy and features, and follow product development from start to finish. To succeed in this role, you should be a perceptive and creative leader, an excellent communicator, and a reliable problem-solver. Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and define product and market requirements (MRD) and roadmap
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products.
  • Produce and align product requirements documents (PRD) with engineering
  • Lead early phase product planning activities including business justification
  • Incorporate feedback and input from customers, partners and in-house teams on product strategy and finding ways to expand product market reach
  • Develop and implement product strategies consistent with company vision
  • Lead marketing analysts and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
  • Develop and deploy product positioning and promotion strategies
  • Work with marketing communications to support development of launch materials, product literature, and any other collateral material required to support sales and key marketing messages.
  • Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision
  • Provide successful life cycle management support to multiple product lines
  • Daily management responsibility for LED light source product line(s)
  • Evangelize and educate Field Sales and channel partners on product positioning and solution selling
Job Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of LED industry experience or minimum 8 years of relevant professional Product Marketing Manager, Brand Manager of technical products.
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Marketing or similar fields; MBA preferred
  • LED product or driver/controls experience highly desired
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Developed leadership skills/experience, including the ability to map task interdependencies, prioritize such tasks, and develop, monitor and operate within budgets as well as the demonstrated ability to forecast major milestones
  • Experience with strategic product planning and commercial execution.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels inside and outside of Bridgelux.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management and market analysis
  • Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns)

  • Experience marketing to Healthcare, Education, Gov’t, Horticulture verticals a plus

  • Ability to travel approximately 30%, including internationally.
