Bamboozled By A Fake COB?

Some companies will make a Chip On Board (COB) array product or other light sources using a Bridgelux chip or die.  These COBs are not considered Bridgelux products because they are not  made by Bridgelux.

Here are some helpful hints that you can use to ensure you have purchased a genuine Bridgelux Vero® Series (seventh generation), V Series™ (seventh generation) or H Series™ COB array from your supplier*:

  • Purchase your arrays from an approved supplier.
  • Ensure that you see “Bridgelux” or “BLX” on the top of the array.
  • Check for an etched or engraved barcode on the back of the array.
  • Contact us or your local Sales representative and provide detailed information on the COB in question.  They will process the request accordingly.

*All the bullet points apply to sixth generation Bridgelux products as well, except the top side markings, which are not part of the sixth generation Vero Series and V Series arrays.
