Bridgelux Promotes David Barnby To Vice President Of Worldwide Sales

Barnby Will Lead Global Sales Team to Drive Sales of Company’s
Innovative LED Light Sources

SUNNYVALE, CALIF., April 15, 2009 — Bridgelux, Inc., a U.S. lighting company and leading supplier of energy-saving light-emitting diode (LED)-based light sources, today announced the promotion of David Barnby to vice president of worldwide sales. Barnby will manage the Company’s worldwide sales team and distribution network. He will report directly to Bridgelux CEO, Mark Swoboda.

Bridgelux recently expanded its product portfolio beyond its leading-edge LED chips to include LED Arrays—a single LED light source designed specifically for the lighting market. The Company continues to focus its efforts on driving sales of its LED Array product family targeting fast growing applications such as replacement lamps (bulbs), street lights, track and down lights. LED Arrays offer a unique solution for lighting designers and manufacturers by simplifying and reducing the cost of lighting design, while simultaneously creating new luminaire design possibilities.

Based out of Paris, Barnby brings more than 20 years of experience managing and growing business opportunities within Europe for high-technology Silicon Valley companies. Prior to joining Bridgelux, he was the EMEA vice president of sales and marketing for Pinnacle Systems (the consumer division of Avid Technology), where he was responsible for managing the consumer IT retail and distribution channels across EMEA. Barnby has held multiple general management, sales and marketing positions within Hewlett Packard (HP), including EMEA and worldwide responsibility for the company’s Optoelectronic and RF Semiconductor products (Components Group).
